Easily Transform Your Smile with Veneers at Eagle Valley
Family Dentistry

It’s time to show the Bellefonte community who you truly are by transforming your smile with veneers at Eagle Valley Family Dentistry!

If you’re someone who doesn’t like to smile or covers your mouth when you laugh because you’re embarrassed about your teeth, veneers could be the simple solution to not only completely transforming your smile but your life.

Veneers are a great way to correct any gaps, misshapen teeth, and can even be used to hide stains. Plus, depending on your situation, veneers are a great alternative to crowns. While a crown covers an entire tooth, a veneer covers only the front of your tooth.

There are actually a few different types of veneers to choose from and both are generally painless to have done. At Eagle Valley Family Dentistry, we’ll walk you through the different types and see what kind of veneers are the best for you.

Composite Resin Veneers

The first type of veneers you can consider are composite resin veneers. These are usually the least expensive option and they can usually be applied with just one visit to our office.

These types of veneers are shaped and bonded directly to your teeth and are hardened with a high-intensity light. We’ll then polish the veneers so they look like natural teeth.

Some advantages of composite resin veneers include:

  • Less enamel needs to be removed from your teeth to place the veneers

  • You can have a brand new smile in just one visit

  • These veneers are easy to replace if needed

  • They are a less expensive option than porcelain veneers

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain is the second most common type of veneers. While they do cost more than composite resin, they are extremely more durable and can last anywhere from 10-15 years. Additionally, the look of porcelain is very similar to the aesthetics of teeth, so these types of veneers can seem more natural-looking than their composite resin counterparts and more resistant to stains.

However, having us place porcelain veneers is a little more of a process and it could take a few visits to complete. The usual process of getting porcelain veneers includes the
following steps:

  • We’ll remove some enamel from the tooth in order to make room for the veneer.

  • After getting an impression, we ship the mold of your tooth to a dental lab specialized in custom-making veneers.

  • While your veneers are being made, we’ll give you temporary veneers to wear.

  • Once the porcelain veneers are ready, you’ll come back to have them placed and bonded.
